Split Airconditioning

Many people will have seen split type air conditioners perhaps while on holiday or in petrol stations and retail outlets. These units are normally used to ensure a comfortable climate for people within the space.

Outdoor units are almost always located in free air outside the building with services connecting to the single indoor unit, either ceiling cassette, high wall, low wall, floor standing, concealed ducted or one of several other designs. These units tend to make good use of electrical energy and are usually easy to install allowing for very competitive prices.

A ceiling cassette. Whilst there are many applications, this type of unit is suited to be installed into a ceiling with a void to hide the chassis. Air is drawn into the centre grille, heated or cooled and then discharged via the adjustable louvers along each side. Ceiling cassettes can be used as 2, 3 or 4 way blow.
